The Little People of Les Fréaux

The Legend's Story
Small, child-sized beings known as the "Little People" lived in huts above Les Fréaux. They often sent a man to the village to borrow embers for their fire. One little man enjoyed watching a local woman spin wool at night while her husband was away. The husband, jealous or curious, swapped clothes with his wife to trap the visitor. The little man entered, sat down, but quickly realized the "spinner" was a fraud. He leaped up, shouting: "Spin, spin... but never notch!" (File, filoche... mais jamais n'encoche!) and vanished into the night, never to be seen again.' WHERE id = 12; / 13.
