La Romanche
Information
The Romanche is the river that feeds the Lake Chambon downstream of Mizoën. This river, fed by 58 tributaries including the Ferrand, is recognized for its scenic beauty, having been the source of inspiration for several mountain artists. The painter Charles Bertier, for example, represented it in two famous oils on canvas in 1894: Vallée de la Romanche au Pied-du-Col and Les Fréaux près de La Grave
