The Meije as a backdrop for Alpine hunters

This illustration from the album 'Nos Alpins' features Alpine hunters at the Lautaret Pass, with the majestic Meije in the background. The drawings of Eugène Tézier and the texts of Henri Second pay tribute to these soldiers and to the beauty of the Dauphiné Alps, and more particularly of the Briançonnais, which serve as decor for a large part of the album.
