Village Communal Oven

Information
The communal oven is a centuries-old witness to the lives of the inhabitants of this village. The tradition of boiled bread, or 'Po Bulli' in dialect, is still celebrated there once a year in November. Formerly vital for the survival of the village, as attested by written records dating from 1450, the oven has now become a symbol of the perpetuation of an ancestral tradition. The making of bread, formerly essential for subsistence, is now a festive moment that brings the local community together.
