Nago Vieux

Biography
Nago Vieux shows Mizoën "from below," from the perspective of the common folk. A landless craftsman — carpenter and mason — he settled in Mizoën through marriage. He is found everywhere in the communal accounts: building the communal oven, repairing bridges, and manufacturing furniture. In 1684, he even served as a guide in the dangerous Combe de Malleval. His story is one of silent disappearance: a worker who built and maintained the village before fading into clandestine exile following the religious shift.
