Mizoën

Information
Mizoën is a village of the Oisans located at the junction of the valleys of the Ferrand and the Romanche. Its name could mean "at noon", evoking a village well exposed to sunlight. The village is organized around the Saint-Christophe church, built in the 19th century on the ruins of an older building. The commune includes many hamlets, some of which were engulfed during the creation of the Chambon dam, built in part on its territory. Mizoën is also renowned for the vast pastures of the Emparis plateau, among the most remarkable in the Alps.
